Advocacy Service Aberdeen

ASA (Advocacy Service Aberdeen) provides a free, independent and confidential advocacy service for people in Aberdeen. Independent advocacy helps people speak up about things that are important to them and take more control of their lives.

Sometimes people need support expressing what they want to say and having their point of view taken seriously.

Advocates are there to be on someone's side; to help people access information, understand their rights, to explore options and to express their views and wishes, enabling them to actively participate in decision making.

ASA's work is underpinned by SIAA's Principles and Standards and they people we support are always in control of the advocacy process and their wishes direct our work.
